C4 Advert
An old advert I liked ages ago. The clip has alot of movement and the delivery makes it appeal to a contemporary audience. I'm not to sure what software they would of used to make the car transform maybe Maya.
Smirnoff Vodka SEA Advert
Another old advert I really liked, the movement and the effects used within the clip makes it engaging towards the audience.
Seth Akkerman
Seth Akkerman Where the Wild Things Are SCAD Project from Seth Akkerman on Vimeo.
The movement on this clip is really good the opening scene from where the sky is used after to create the sea is really good. I think what makes it look really unique and good i the use of handmade type and images. There are other titles I have seen that use handmade images I'll need to load them up.
RocknRolla Opening Scene
Designed By Danny Yount
The opening titles set the atmosphere for the rest of the film. The titles have good use of layers and colours. The type used reflects the rusty browns and yellow used.
I Love NY Type Motion
I really interesting motion graphic clip for I Love NY. The movement and the way text turns into the next word or object is thought through out really well. Also I noticed how much the image was always moving clockwise/ anticlockwise
Air Max 1 Nike
Another Motion graphic clip using handmade type and image. I think that these look as good as the heavy digital produced motion graphics.
Sony Bravia Advert Paint
Not to sure what software would of been used, but I remember this advert from a while ago and thought it stood out compared to other adverts. I think the idea of colour exploding is something that look visually interesting.
Sky Arts Ident
Sky Arts 1 "Fruit" from Jon Yeo on Vimeo.
Eastenders Ident BBC 1
The idea of using Eastenders to keep with the BBC idents of the moving circle on the centre of the screen works really well, as it connects the broadcaster and the soap together.
MTV Turntable Ident
Don't like the design to much, but like the use of black and white flashes to create the atmosphere for the subject matter of DJing.

Beatles Help
Very busy and fast. Good how both singers have there own type backing vocals less bold than the leed singer.
Where's my money?
Start of the clip looks really good with the movement of the type but I thought when the two people were fighting the type started to look out of place, the idea was good for the fight scene but could of been executed better.
MTV Russia
MTV FIRST YEAR REEL from Vladimir Tomin on Vimeo.
At 20 seconds into the reel I like the 3d embossed text as it spins around so you can see the different angles of the 3d type.
Instructions
Create a new composition (720 x 480 duration 03:00).
Create a text layer and type in the text you would like (format the type as you wish).
Enable 3D for the type layer.
With the type layer selected, hit AA to bring up that layers material options.
Make sure you set cast shadow to "on".
Hit control/command D to duplicate the type layer to the desired thickness you want your text (I duplicated the one I created 20 times).
Hit control command A to select all of the layers than hit p to bring up position for all of the layers.
Hit F2 to deselect all of the layers.
Set the second layers' z position (the last number in the position list) to 1 repeat this adding one to each sequential layer (example layer 3 would be 2, layer 4 would be 3 and so on).
Next parent all layers to the first type layer.
Next with the top type layer selected hit R to bring up rotation (rotate you text).
Next create a solid control/command Y make it 2100 x 1500 and color it white.
Enable 3d for this layer and hit P to bring up position set it z position to about 175 or so.
Next create a new light layer (layer new light) make it a spot light and make sure you check the box to cast a shadow.
Position your light and keyframe.
I also keyframed the rotation on the top type layer

BBC Knowledge
BBC Knowledge - Honk If You're Human from Sean Pecknold on Vimeo.
Plasticine and characters work well. The first six seconds are really good with the image of the earth spining round then melts at the end with the clouds moving around. Not sure how that would work within after effects though. Similar characters could be used because of the simplicity.
"All of the spot is in-camera on a multi-plane table in sequence. The characters are either paper or clay. All of the backgrounds are painted. Even the natural elements, like clouds and stars, were a layer of animated paint shot in-camera. Because of the way the transitions worked from one thing to the next, we had to be careful because there wasn’t any time to start over, really. The only shot that isn’t fully in camera would be the mouse shot that we mirrored for the clone effect."

MTV ONE - MAD DRUMMERS - 30" from MTV WORLD DESIGN STUDIO on Vimeo.
Really simple flat colours. Good communication through the idea of the drum skin vibrating and the audiences faces bouncing around when the drum is hit.
MTV
EMA 2010 SPOTLIGHT OPENER from MTV WORLD DESIGN STUDIO on Vimeo.
A huge amount of layers needed. Only lasts 12 seconds. Good movement in the video as well. Like the first few frames where the logo breaks up and moves in different directions.
